I'm pretty sure that Vegeta spent a fair amount of time training at Capsule Corp and so was at least around Bulma / his family. Even with Bulma and Vegeta having relationship issues, you can see they at least can put that aside and they love each other. I was actually wondering if Goku loves ChiChi but the internet seems to say yes. Vegeta not being the headstrong most powerful fighter in the universe probably helps his relationship.
