Well, in America, they do let you drive without lessons and own guns, so, yeah, it does make sense to force you to wait until you're older to drink.

To own a rifle you must be 18. as for a pistol you must be 21 and have a permit (in more strict states that is).Thats supposed to because a pistol is a lot easier to sneak around with, versus a rifle which is pretty damn obvious when you carry it around. And rifles tend to be used mainly for hunting while pistols are primarily used for self defense/home defense.

yeah im all for the right to bear arms, i actually shoot in cmp matches with an AR so im a bit biased but there are many guns out there you should need a permit for and a background check. But then again the Aurora co shooter had a clean background so the laws wouldn't of really made a difference

got ya, well at least on the west side of the country (where I am from) you have to be 21 and apply for a gun license to own a handgun, i think you may be able to buy hunting rifles and stuff like that but nothing over that until you are 21 for some ridiculous reason, because you know, once you turn 21 its okay to own an m16 or ak-47, because you're older and know what you are doing with your life

In England, you need to take lessons and go through several tests to get a license, in America, if I'm not mistaken, you basically pick up your license, and away you go.

No you need to go take your permit test witch is relatively easy since I passed it without studying. 10 questions. Then you have to wait 6 months before taking your road examination. Which if you didn't practice during those 6 months you are doomed to fail. Also with a permit you need an adult licences driver in the car at all times. That's pretty much where you get your lessons from or you can pay for professional lessons.

Haahhahha no. You have to hold a driving permit for a year. Were you can only drive with your parent in the passenger seat. Then you have to take a driving test for your license. We don't just sign a paper and go.

Also, you just can't buy HANDGUN AMMO until your 21. You can buy all the guns you want.

you couldnt be more wrong. In america, you have to go to driving school, take a test there (and pass), get a learner's permit, drive for 40 hours total (and record it), then go to the BMV. At the BMV, you have to take another test and you cant get below a B. Also, you have to take a driving test there and pass. When you finally get your liceanse, you cant actually drive other people for 6 months.
