Apparently atheists know the bible better than Christians.

You might want to make that singular. This post doesn't support that assumption.

how do you know he's atheist?
User avatar #596 to #590 - dramallama (07/27/2012) [-]
I was talking about atheists in general, whenever there's a religious debate they seem to know the most.
#708 to #596 - sirmatthew (07/27/2012) [-]
usually because atheists pick out and try to pin down christians with verses they've studied for awhile, and then when they spring the argument on a christian... you get the picture?

Not from what I've seen on this site:
>Lol all religious people are dumb
<Isn't that a bit of a generalization
>Lol nope u believe in a magic sky man
<If you ever considered the possibility of-
>nope u suck
<Maybe if you just opened your mind and-
>Fuck you
User avatar #631 to #615 - antagonizer (07/27/2012) [-]
Hmmmm, I normally see something slightly different:

>Lol Jesus loves me you're wrong
<Well science proves that...
>Fuck you and your science, only god could have made everything nothing else
<But we have actual PROOF of science, the way things are made up of atoms...
>Nope, lalalalalala im not listening God is almighty, darwin was wrong and atheists are stupid fags who should die in hell, lalalalalalalalalalala *puts fingers in ears' lalalalalalalalalalala

Well, you have started the war by mixing science and religion.
Oh, and this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_science
(Yes, it exists, science isn't perfect)
Oh, but I agree with you, there's people like that, but also like #615 said...
User avatar #668 to #649 - antagonizer (07/27/2012) [-]
I agree there are people like both, im lucky enough to have a really good christian friend who isn't stupid about, we discuss and debate religion and science but it does my head in when people (atheist or christians) act like fucking facebook 12 year old girls and rattle a bunch of crap out of their mouths that they know nothing about.
#710 to #668 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
I also have great agnostic friends, and nobody gets mad for that. Sometimes we discuss about god and free will, but we never have to have a real argument.
#612 to #596 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
That's because Atheists were once christians but there were alot of things in the Bible that they did not support so they became Atheists.
#636 to #612 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
I still firmly believe that 80% of "atheists" are so because it's a trend.
I mean, most of them cannot give a proper point.
"God does not exist because we can't see it" is NOT a valid point.
And, btw, if you say that God is a man in the sky looking at us, you are not getting the point of religion.
User avatar #716 to #636 - sirmatthew (07/27/2012) [-]
you're right about the trending atheism thing, although that doesn't prove or disprove anything, it does make it tougher to be a christian though xD. and yeah i agree with you're main points
#655 to #636 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
Of course we can't prove that god exists. But Christians can in no way prove that he does exist.
#660 to #655 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
doesn't
#666 to #660 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
So? Why argue, then?
#671 to #666 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
Not arguing about if god exists or not, I'm saying that there is no need for us to follow the bible in our modern society. He can exist for all I care and know but the laws from the bible is wrong in this day and age.(Most of them, not all but most)
#677 to #671 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
Most of the old testament, probably.
#669 to #666 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
And also, your reply was somewhat unrelated to what I said.
#675 to #669 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
No, You said most of the atheists valid point is that "god doesn't exist because we can't see him". I just pointed out that you can't prove that he exists.
#680 to #675 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
No, I said that it was hard for atheist to make a valid point. And I put an example of a phallacy (probably misspelled) lots of people use.
But I did never say that god existed. Well, I believe God exists, and you believe the opposite. But the important thing is, none of us have real points or proofs against each other.
#689 to #680 - leonge (07/27/2012) [-]
Then we can agree that we disagree and leave it at that.
#694 to #689 - N. Korean citizen (07/27/2012) [-]
As you wish. It was a pleasure.
