As far as trading cards are concerned, I've always been partial to Yu-Gi-Oh.

It'd probably be easier to figure out if your cards weren't in German

Story Time.

>Dad didn't want to buy me Pokemon cards so I asked Mom
>Mom buys me first pack of Pokemon cards ever
>Charizard
>"Oh that's pretty cool" (Don't know much about Pokemon at the time, friend introduced me to it a few weeks ago.)
>Don't realize I just pulled the rarest and most valuable card in my first ever pack
>First pack breaks the dam, Dad ends up buying me 7 more packs that week
>Venusaur + Blastoise pulls
>I was the luckiest motherfucking 6 year old in the world
>Armed with my 88 cards I want to go trade with some big kids at the playground
>Big kids (10 years old or so) happily accept me into the trading circle
>They start to teach me about Pokemon, what's rare and what's not
>Find out that star cards are common and circle cards are rare
>Luckiest AND STUPIDEST motherfucking 6 year old in the world
>Over the next 10 minutes I get bled for my Venusaur, Blastoise, Pinsir and Clefairy (Other 3 rares were trainers)
>I'm convinced I just made the best trades in the world, and it's just my first week
>Big kid brings out la creme de la creme. A fucking Meowth
>Convinces me it's the rarest and most valuable card in the game because the cat is sitting on a pile of gold
>Says he'll trade me for my Charizard
>Happily accept
>Go home happy as a pig in shit, playing with my new cards
>Find out a couple days later about the true rarity of cards
>MFW those kids were the biggest assholes I have ever encountered, and I'm the stupidest fucking kid in the whole world.

I just bought the cards for the cool pictures they had on them.

I knew how to play, but I also had that game for the gameboy.

All I know about the game was energies. Energies everywhere.

we played it like you both put down a card, and which ever one had a higher hp won. its funny because we were retarded

I'm assuming you bought them because of the video game, you DO know there is a video game called pokemon the trading card game right? you play as a young boy named yugi who believes in the heart of the..... okay I think I'm mixed up here

I remember having to always check for fake cards before trading with other people.

If you held the card up to light and saw thru it then the card was fake.
