lol apparently this guys story has been posted before, and was in an article on cracked. my bad. I just remembered the story about him, took me a lil while to remember his nickname and then found a wikipedia page on him and a page from some gun enthusiast sight about people that met him. I think I still made a unique spin on it though

white death was the nickname for most snipers in the Finnish army, not just Simo Hayha(also, a with 2 dots over is an invalid character apparently).
Simo Hayha refrained from using iron sights because the gleam of it often showed where snipers where hiding.
the he was hit by stray fire from a machine gun and not a sniper.
it was over 1200 kills, 700 with his sniper only.
and it was 107 days before he was shot, he spent the last week of the second world war in a coma.
no explosive bullets where involved.
