While there are a LOT more mares than stallions in Ponyville, if you look at Canterlot and the other larger cities, there seems to be many more colts in the background. So I don't think that Equestria is a female dominated society at all. It's just in the small town where the show mainly takes place. Besides, Big Mac is more than enough.
