Apparently humans can be compared to portable devices now?

A human needs sleep because it affects his health.

An Apple mobile device (Iphone or Ipod) needs a charge every day because Apple hasn't made a longer lasting battery...then the battery gets longer to charge and doesn't last as long over time.

I'm no apple fan boy but i own both an apple and android product and the apple device always has a longer battery life. Its not always the battery that is weak, but the way the phone uses power insufficiently also affects the long term life time of the phones battery (i.e. when the phone is idle it still is looking for a signal or is fetching data)

We really need to invent a better battery for these things.

I had an Ipod that I rarely used a few years ago.

It would charge no problem and even last more than a few days sometimes.

But sooner or later the battery would take longer to charge and wouldn't last as long when in use to the point when it didn't charge at all.

And now I've got the latest Ipod Touch that only lasts half as long as the previous Ipod I had and also takes twice as long to charge...

Why is it that batteries are getting worse?

No, you see, its not the batteries, all of them are usually about 1200-1500Mhz and they all charge the same and have about the same life, but the power demand needed to run the OS and features increases with all the added features, and thats one thing they need to work on, power management, not making BIGGER batteries.

And yet society wants smaller devices, and the companies design them smaller.

Strange.
