What if, now hear me out guys, what if science and religion are just two halves of the same whole? GASP!
question: how does it disprove adam and eve? Not that I believe in it, jsut curious on your sources. Besides, It doesn't say that adam and eve are the ONLY ones. In fact, If I am correct, their sons travel to other villages?
Yeah, most religions have adopted some sort of flood story. But it disproves the extent to which it says the flood reached. There's a whole shitload of reasons the flood couldn't have happened the way it did in the Bible, but I think most Christians don't interpret that literally anymore.
I think that's what it was originally intended to be, people just didn't understand that most of it was metaphors. It's like thinking Aesop's Fables really happened. Just because they didn't actually happen doesn't dismiss the lesson you can get from it.
