this is the exact same argument I had with bbrunner earlier... from the source you just posted, yes it's obvious chick-fil-a doesn't support homosexuality, but it is also very obvious that they don't possess the crazy ideals of the content above (what is in red text).

That information was from years ago, and the same article states that Dan Cathy, who was president of the chain at the time, said "We're not anti-anybody... Our mission is to create raving fans." and then later in the same article you posted Cathy asserted, "While my family and I believe in the Biblical definition of marriage, we love and respect anyone who disagrees."

Let me say this one more time... they donate money to those groups because they DO share the same values. Chick-fil-a doesn't support homosexuality so they donate money to groups that share that same belief. HOWEVER, the fanatic beliefs stated in OP's content are a reflection of some fanatic members of the groups chick-fil-a supports, not chick-fil-a themselves, and in OP's content he specifically states that it's what chick-fil-a believes, when in fact it's not.

And those crazy beliefs OP mentioned only belong to a handful of people within those organizations chick-fil-a supports. The fanatic beliefs of a few individuals do not reflect the beliefs of chick-fil-a. It's known as the fallacy of composition: thinking that just because a small part of something is one way that the entire part is the same way. Example: "I asked a Ralph's cashier where the milk was and she didn't know. Ralph's workers are so stupid, they don't know anything about their job." You see the problem with that conclusion? It makes a conclusion about ALL cashiers from Ralph's on the basis of the actions of just one cashier.

I can see where you and everyone else are concerned, and yes I think Chick-fil-a should focus on helping others and not demoting free love, but I just wanted to point out that when you state something so crazy like what OP did about a company's beliefs, you need to be careful of your wording. In OP's content, it makes it seem like what is in red text is specifically what Chick-fil-a believes, when in fact what he stated were the beliefs of some fanatics within the anti-gay groups.

Again, it may not be what they say, but by supporting those groups, they are supporting those beliefs, even if it is only the beliefs of a small number of those groups members. That's what it means when you donate to a company. "I believe what you believe, and I support you."

No that just proves he knows how to say the right things while being interviewed. Actions speak louder than words. Hitler could say he just wanted to make sure the Jews were in a safe place all he wanted to, but that doesn't make the Jews any less dead.

I see your point, and that does make sense that he would paint a more moderate view on homosexuality for the fans and viewers, but still, I do think that chick-fil-a has a moderate view on the whole subject. oh, lol, there's some where I live (freakin good food), and I have some friends that work there. They're (my friends) all very open-minded on the whole homosexuality issue, so I just got flustered by OP. I personally like the restaurant.

-Chick-fil-a doesn't support homosexuality (like I said)
-Alan Chambers shouldn't make assumptions without solid evidence
-john Schmierer should reflect on his own actions before finding fault with others
-Chick-fil-a is still a good restaurant that supports what it believes to be moral, but you've provided no evidence of them directly being the ones who are being hateful

You can't assume Chick-Fil-A believes in the same fanatic ideals of some members of the groups they support. So all of what you mentioned in red text in your content doesn't reflect Chick-Fil-A's beliefs as much as it does those fanatic individuals that happened to be in a group Chick-Fil-A donated money to.

im not saying they are DRIECTLY supporting the crazy people but the money they are donating going to these said places and these said places are giving the money to the crazy people chilk fil a must know it is or else why would they continue to do it
