It used to be you would never even mention the word meme. You don't just make a meme. You don't just attempt to make a meme. You post some content. That's it.

You said that I said it was a meme. And I clearly didn't. I was hoping it would become one. That's how.

You said it was an attempt at a new meme. Basically the same thing except you're just much more openly willing to accept failure if it occurs. Basically what you said then was that you are trying to create a new meme. Every new meme is an attempt regardless whether you say the word "attempt" or not. The fact that you even mentioned the word meme is why I thumbed you down. There, you happy now? Not that I dislike memes, I dislike purposely created ones. I dislike people trying to create new ones for everyone. I'm from a time where they weren't created because someone said they were trying to create one. I apologize if I'm failing to keep up with the latest trends. The purpose for my original comment wasn't to misquote you, it was to literally point out the fact that you mentioned the word new meme. Whether you're attempting to make a new one or just saying it's a new one. Both of those scenarios I will thumb down. That is just how I learned to internet good sir.

And how do you know that people who have created memes in the past didn't have that in mind? For example: I remember a picture where a guy created a meme by combining the Yao Ming face and Obama's 'not bad' face into one and called it 'Jizz in my Pants.' Whether that was his own OC or not I don't know. I'm just trying to show you that people do it all the time. And singling me out isn't gonna help you. So just enjoy the content. And don't thumb me down because I've got the balls to say what I want.

I have thumbed several down for attempting the same thing so don't assume I've singled you out and like i've said, I'm sure I'm just old school because you used to never be able to even mention the fact that you were trying to make a new meme without being thumbed to hell. As I look through the comments, only one other person has even brought it up besides me. It used to be every comment would have condemned you of such an act. I apologize that I'm failing to keep up with the times now, and I'm sorry if it seemed that I was trying to attack you, but I will still continue to thumb down anyone who mentions attempting to make a new meme or calls something a new meme.
