I haven't always liked Microsoft's business practices but Bill Gates I am a fan of. He created Windows and did many great things for the computer industry. He made the tablet computer way before Apple ever did anything in that market. And also regardless of what goes on in MS Bill Gates has always been generous. He gives alot of his money away to charity and sounds like a really down to Earth guy. I would love to meet him some day being in the computer industry myself!

I've heard many great things about the way he operated the company and how he worked with his employees. When he was in charge many great things spawned including the original Xbox system. Once he started to leave the company though things went downhill. Apple is a dirty company with overpriced computers, their operating system isn't anything more than Linux with a face lift. Bill Gates made Windows from scratch. He is a true inspiration.

I agree with you in most points, but I must correct you in one.

Mac OS X is far from being facelifted Linux. Yes, they share common "ancestor" - UNIX system. Mac OS X is evolution and mixture of original Mac OS (which pretty much had its own OS architecture, because it was designed for Motorola 68000 CPU and later modified for PowerPC architecture) and NeXTSTEP, which is UNIX-compatible OS, developed by NeXT (company created by Steve Jobs after he was fired from Apple). This essentially makes Mac OS X a part of BSD family. Yes, we can say it's a cousin of Linux, they share a great degree of compatibility and developing applications for OS X and Linux is very similar, compared to Windows, which has completely different kernel.

Also to the part Windows had been made from scratch - that's not entirely true. Windows are originally a GUI for MS-DOS system. MS-DOS was bought by Microsoft from Seattle Computer Products for 50 000 dollars as QDOS and just slightly modified to be compatible with IBM PC 5150. Windows was later entirely build from scratch only as part of Windows NT family, newly written hybrid kernel etc. - from Windows NT 3.1 to 4.0, 2000 and onwards.

Wealthy people already pay a higher tax rate than everybody else. We are $13,000,000,000,000 in debt and even if the top 10% gave all of their money to the treasury, it would not even come close to alleviating the problem.

The problem is government spends WAY too much. In my state, WA, we have a 7 billion dollar deficit because our governor spends and spends and spends a ridiculous amount of money on unnecessary things. It's like that with the federal government as well.

First, the government needs to get rid of about 90% of the programs and departments that it gives my tax dollars to. Then, once we have only the necessities, (police, military, education, roads, utilities, and health), see how the economy does.

If there's still not enough money once that has been done, tax the rich more.

You make these giant CEO moguls out to be fucking angels when they like their money just as much as everybody else.

His "acts of kindness" are publicity stunts that had to be coaxed out of him by people close to him that said "Dude, you're going to look like an asshole if you don't dish out some cash for the poor." So he did, and now everyone thinks he's some great guy. Sure, in comparison to Steve Jobs he was "nicer" but don't make these guys out to be what they are not.
