I wonder why people like her so much...

Who cares about Korra and Asami, when Lin is obviously the hottest, bravest, coolest, toughest and most awesome character in the whole show?

The major deciding factor.

In all seriousness, Asami is definitely the way to go.

When you list entirely the negative for one side and entirely the positive for the other, it's polarizing your audience in the hopes that they will conform with your opinion.
I could take Asami's worst and compare it to Korra's best, but
a) that would just be using the same biased method.
b) I like both girls pretty much equally, so don't really want one to be better than the other.
and c) that would take time, and I am lazy.
There were several times when Korra presented the positive sides to Asami, and when Asami presented the negative aspects of Korra.
Ultimately, though, both girls are just teenagers in turbulent times who are going to make mistakes and suffer for them. They still want to be friends with each other. If they can get over their feud, what the hell excuse do the fans have?

Yeah, the whole love triangle dynamic of the series annoyed me because it was so petty. And because Bolin totally got the shit end of the stick, which I can relate to.

If there was no forced love interest for Korra, then I would like her; but for now I don't like Korra. Asami is really cool and nice, I like her.

Why not both?
