Is it only me or the combat in morrowind makes other people tear out their hair, too
The "hit" detection is horrible.. that's the only thing that keeps me from playing.
I got the game, expansions, too. Played as an assassin type, got until you have to prove you're the Nerevarine...
I played the shit out of Oblivion, but I can't get myself into skyrim.. dual wield and other stuff is cool and all, but I enjoyed being a vampire hunter in oblivion more.

morrowind.nexusmods.com/mods/23746
3 seconds on google. - "Morrowind: Accurate Attack"

And I myself prefer to be a vampire. Was difficult to do with the vanilla mechanic. One thing I enjoy about skyrim. But paying £17 to do it is pretty gay...

I played the fukkn shit out of Oblivion. I'd regard it as my favorite game of all time. When I play Oblivion my emersion is unbreakable. It's part of what made Skyrim a bit of a dissapointment to me. Even though Its a good game.

I think what got me the most with Oblivion was the music mixed in with scenarios like walking through the imperial city market district looking at signs above the stores to determine what they sell. That shit was some RP gold.

Also dont have any pic more relevent, so have this map of Nirn

But then again I was no older than 11 when I played Oblivion... And I didn't even know what I was playing.

The games were more complex the further back as a fact. Going from Morrowind - Skyrim anyway. To people who don't understand that degree of RPG are usually disheartened. Which was a large ammount of people back in 2002. Or even 2005 to an extent. I think it takes effort to enjoy Oblivion. But once you do. You'll understand why the complexities are good. Morrowind more so.

I agree. Oblivion cannot be even compared to skyrim.
the dark brotherhood/thieves guild questlines in oblivion are WAY better in oblivion than in skyrim

Exactly. The stoylines in skyrim seemed rushed, but not rushed. It was a strange experience. But its nowhere near as forceful as the strung up and skinned Lucien Lachance, or the breaking into the imperial palace for the elder scroll to free the Gray Fox's curse

Also I like the almost instant -1 thumb you got for saying skyrim isnt as good as its predescsor. Its one reason I dislike skyrim actually. It's attracted a crowd of casual gamers with less appreciation or even knowledge of what the elder scrolls is. And what it used to be.

For example. I would say Oblivion is the best game ever. But someone who played Morrowind first. And said it was better than oblivion would make sense to me. Because the lore and game complexity definately seem to be taking a blow with each new release...

IMO, oblivion is the best one in the elder scrolls saga.
I played them all, except for arena, and oblivion seems like the most fun, deep, and well built game

I dunno, I played morrowind and loved it. But I found oblivion to be awful for some reason. I hated every second of it and only played with other people who assured me 'it gets better' but that never happened. Now I love skyrim and find it infinitely better than morrowind. I guess its up to your preference, maybe i couldn't deal with another morrowind clone or something
