Let me tell you a story of an alarm clock. Gif only very, very slightly related.

This alarm clock I got as a gift was very, VERY insistent on waking you up.
It had basic functions of an alarm clock, but on top it had a propeller.

When the alarm started (it sounded like a ******* nuclear alarm and was just as loud), the propeller started spinning and after a few short time, it disconnected from the alarm and lifted off. Since it wasn't very well balanced out, it would fly whereever the **** it wanted, even if you had your windows closed.

To turn off the alarm you were required to retrieve the propeller (which most likely required you to get up) and put it back into its socket. Unless you want to deal with removing the batteries everytime. OR smashing up the alarm.
Needless to say, I NEVER overslept with that thing. Sadly it was poorly made and stopped working after a few months.

Mine has a long snooze button right up front and all the way across the top,
and the off button is just a large switch on the top, right behind the snooze button.

Useless much?

Getting up and looking for the tiny button forces your brain into an awake mode. That's the point.

Alarm clocks can wake me up once before I need to change the sound that wakes me up, so I use the one on my phone, and disable the snooze button.

The snooze button on my phone is so tiny you have to press it just right, but to turn off the alarm you basically slap it and slide your hand down the screen...thats why i set about 4 alarms

I can find and hit the switch on on my alarm clock the first time every time no matter how tired I am and I can do it while half asleep and still dreaming. I once dreamed that my alarm was going off and I accidentally turned off my real one.....

I was supposed to get **** done that day.
but no, apparently I thought I was still dreaming so it didnt matter.

I had this iPhone 3G cheap chinese clone a while ago
This is how the alarm works:
The "stop alarm" button is the main (and only) button
The "snooze" button is in the lower left corner of the screen, and it is near impossible to press it.
