The rope
You never know when you're gonna need rope

Vehicle: d. boat, because zombies can't swim and should drown in large bodies of water.

Primary weapon: a. Sniper rifle. Has a scope for long distances, since I'll mostly be in the middle of a large body of water.

Secondary: c. silenced pistol, so I don't give myself away when shooting it.

Melee weapon: b. katana. I'm quite skilled with it. I actually have one.

Gadget: a. binoculars, so I can look around for safe places/escape routes.

C. gives you stand off distance and can still be used in close. The 5.56 x 45 mm is a very common round so ammo is easy to get.

D. reusable bolts and if need you can make your own. fairly quiet but i could use a second optic.

D. This is a very resourceful weapon. its your axe, melee, fire starter, you can sharpen it with a rock, very durable and has stood the test of time.

C. always could use some rope.

A. this one was extremely hard, the boat was tempting, but logically coastal areas are heavily populated, tourist areas. more previous people, more zombies. if used properly the hummer can be your vehicle, house, distraction, barricade, and if needed can seat more then one.

C (ammo conservative, semi automatic for increased accuracy, good for multiple ranges)
D (reusable ammo, silent, primary weapon)
A (blunt weapon makes for best melee due to knockback)
D (most useful item, just before flashlight)
C (because fuck you.) (no but can be a safe house as well as a vehicle, also runs on diesel, Ill be the only fucker using diesel)

All of those weapons are god awful.

1: A. Semi-auto, long effective range, still effective as a battle rifle at mid-close range. Ammo common as fuck.

2: C. Quiet, compact, common ammo.

3: D. Multiple survival applications, requires no skill to use, cheap and accessible.

4: C. Can be used for rappelling, setting traps, as a tourniquet in case of amputations, can also be burned as an emergency light source.

5: D. Distance that can be traveled is unlimited, because can be operated with manpower when the motor dies. Also, zombies can't reach you in a boat.

d.the machete is a useful too
d.it's a motherfucking multi tool
b. the tank and the hummer fucking eat gasoline faster than op sucks cock, and the boat wouldn't be useful for anything i would be doing.

M4A1. Good at medium or short range, plus ammo is common.
Crossbow. Silent killer that won't attract other zombies if I'm trying to get into a store. Plus I can reuse the bolts.
Machete. I would say the katana, but I can make/do so much more with a machete. It's basically an extra large knife.
Swiss.
Motorcycle. (Probably) good gas mileage, is quick, and I could go off-road.
I ain't planning to be a zombie hunter, but to survive off the land. Admit it, all of you (including me) will be scared shit-less if it ever did happen.

<---------- Pic related, imagine 100 of these fuckers outside your house, trying to get in and eat your face off.

1)Sniper so I can shoot from roof tops
2)Crossbow or Silenced pistol so I can kill zombies easily without causing to much noise
3)Machete because it would be much more durable then a Bat or a Katana and much quieter then a Chainsaw
4) Swiss Army Knife so I can picklock into any gunsafes or gunstores/markets
5)Boat so I can kill zombies without them being able to get to me.

If anyone picks an RPG as a primary weapon, they deserve to die.
All of the first choices also depend on ammunition.
IMO I would choose the shotgun for crowd control, silenced pistol for when you have to be quiet, bat because a katana would dull really fucking quickly, chainsaw needs fuel and machete would stick in the bodies, swiss army knife (I'd have a small torch on it, fuck yeah swiss) and the tank because I could use it as a safe spot to sleep and can run over shit.
User avatar #501 - jdawgydawg (07/18/2012) [-]
1.d-short range, completely blows off a zombies head.
2. d-bows are reusable.
3.a-a bat never gets dull
4. d - i can make anything with that.
5.c -massive protection, when out of fuel or ammo, use it as a base

1. a: Because I could shoot zombies from distance if I notice there are some in my way.
2. a For close range shooting and in case of emergencies.
3 b : Because it's fucking badass and I could easily cut zombie heads off with it.
4. b : In case of black outs, just whip out your flash light and your good to go.
5. b : Because it consumes less gas and its faster and compacter. In case you have to zoom between zombies, you're good to go.
User avatar #465 - chuckstein (07/18/2012) [-]

Main: Sniper, Don't need to get close
Secondary:Silenced Pistol, Quiet, won't alert zombies
Melee: Bat, If i lose it, i can find a Sporting Goods store and get another
Gadget: Swiss army knife, Could use it to pick a lock
Vehicle: Boat, Zombies won't get me in the water, unless Micheal Phelps was turned, then i'm screwed

1.D
Common wisdom is that you need to land a head-shot to kill a zombie, or remove a limb or too to neutralize it, a shot gun has perfect stopping power for this; as a moving target the head-shot would incredibly difficult to do with the semi-auto or sniper rifle (given my complete lack of training with guns), thus shot gun for ease of use.
2.D
Where are you going to get food? You'll likely need to hunt eventually, a scoped cross bow has retrievable ammo, is silent, and the scope can replace binoculars.
3. D: Bat will dent very quickly becoming useless, the katana requires some degree of skill I don't have an would likely need to be maintained, chainsaw requires fuel and is loud. A machete is blunt enough to hack limbs off and has practicality a utility tool.

4.D You're going to be roaming around the ruins of the civilized world, it'll be incredible important to be able to deconstruct and reassemble things, the flashlight will run out of batteries, the rope would be useful too though.
5. Taking any vehicle besides a regular bike is a very bad idea because of a need of fuel and noise, I wouldn't take a vehicle, I'd walk.
User avatar #391 - omeglepwner ONLINE (07/18/2012) [-]
a - keep my distance and pick them off
c - dont want to attract too much attention, small and light
d - multi purpose and good for spinal damage
b - fuck going into a dark room with no flash light
b - good mileage for the gas, fast and able to get through narrow pathways
