Vehicle: d. boat, because zombies can't swim and should drown in large bodies of water.

Primary weapon: a. Sniper rifle. Has a scope for long distances, since I'll mostly be in the middle of a large body of water.

Secondary: c. silenced pistol, so I don't give myself away when shooting it.

Melee weapon: b. katana. I'm quite skilled with it. I actually have one.

Gadget: a. binoculars, so I can look around for safe places/escape routes.

C. gives you stand off distance and can still be used in close. The 5.56 x 45 mm is a very common round so ammo is easy to get.

D. reusable bolts and if need you can make your own. fairly quiet but i could use a second optic.

D. This is a very resourceful weapon. its your axe, melee, fire starter, you can sharpen it with a rock, very durable and has stood the test of time.

C. always could use some rope.

A. this one was extremely hard, the boat was tempting, but logically coastal areas are heavily populated, tourist areas. more previous people, more zombies. if used properly the hummer can be your vehicle, house, distraction, barricade, and if needed can seat more then one.

1. D: Who the hell doesn't want a shotgun in a Zombie apocalypse?
2. D: Silent and re-usable ammo, will probably use it more than my primary weapon.
3. E: **** those options, I'm getting a crowbar. Good for prying things open and bashing heads.
4. A: Can inspect cities from a distance to see if it's clear.
5. E: Again, **** that **** . All of it is too noisy and will run out of gas. Using a regular bike instead.

C (ammo conservative, semi automatic for increased accuracy, good for multiple ranges)
D (reusable ammo, silent, primary weapon)
A (blunt weapon makes for best melee due to knockback)
D (most useful item, just before flashlight)
C (because **** you.) (no but can be a safe house as well as a vehicle, also runs on diesel, Ill be the only ****** using diesel)
User avatar #120 - DerpScout (07/17/2012) [-]
All of those weapons are god awful.

1: A. Semi-auto, long effective range, still effective as a battle rifle at mid-close range. Ammo common as **** .

2: C. Quiet, compact, common ammo.

3: D. Multiple survival applications, requires no skill to use, cheap and accessible.

4: C. Can be used for rappelling, setting traps, as a tourniquet in case of amputations, can also be burned as an emergency light source.

5: D. Distance that can be traveled is unlimited, because can be operated with manpower when the motor dies. Also, zombies can't reach you in a boat.

Main: Sniper, Don't need to get close

Common wisdom is that you need to land a head-shot to kill a zombie, or remove a limb or too to neutralize it, a shot gun has perfect stopping power for this; as a moving target the head-shot would incredibly difficult to do with the semi-auto or sniper rifle (given my complete lack of training with guns), thus shot gun for ease of use.
Where are you going to get food? You'll likely need to hunt eventually, a scoped cross bow has retrievable ammo, is silent, and the scope can replace binoculars.
3. D: Bat will dent very quickly becoming useless, the katana requires some degree of skill I don't have an would likely need to be maintained, chainsaw requires fuel and is loud. A machete is blunt enough to hack limbs off and has practicality a utility tool.

4.D You're going to be roaming around the ruins of the civilized world, it'll be incredible important to be able to deconstruct and reassemble things, the flashlight will run out of batteries, the rope would be useful too though.
5. Taking any vehicle besides a regular bike is a very bad idea because of a need of fuel and noise, I wouldn't take a vehicle, I'd walk.

1C The AR-15. The lack of stopping power isn't a problem, since a nothing but headshot will kill a zombie. And the 30 round magazine is great for engaging multiple targets.

2C The H&K USP.45 with a supressor is nice and quiet, good for stealthy kills. Adequate mag capacity, good accuracy and quicker reload than the crossbow.

3A Quick, light and good for crushing skulls. Won't get stuck in bodies like the blades will. Not heavy and loud like the saw.

4D pocketknife. has a million uses, you can find a flashlight in any car, or just build one out of scrap, and a rope isn't hard to find either. Binoculars are not essential, and I still have good eyes.

5A The hummer. It's better than the tank since it doesn't use NEARLY as much fuel as a 60ton war machine powered by a 1500HP jet turbine. Granted, it doesn't offer much protection against the Zs but I can weld bars and armor over windows with a regular Oxy-acetylene welder, and some scrap metal. I've welded much harder things before.

Pocket knives can be found almost anywhere too... I think that section is simply preference of what people can be bothered to try and find and what they can't

I don't know much about guns, so I'd take the one with a high rate of fire, while retaining a small amount of recoil and loading time.
The same applies to the secondary weapon.
As for melee, I wouldn't take the chainsaw because I'd like to save as much gas as I could for my vehicle. I would pick the katanas because I have no idea as to how to wield them, plus you'd have to sharpen them regularly. I would have to pick the bat because, like the katana, you'd have to sharpen the machete regularly. Plus, it's not hard to find another bat if you lose yours in a fight.
My gadget would have to be the rope, you can do a lot with rope, i.e. tie things together, secure things that could be falling apart, and you could use it to trap animals for food. Another use is to hang yourself if you have no other option.
I wouldn't pick the boat because I don't plan on going out on the water unless I absolutely have to, and if I do I guess I'd find one, but I would use it as my primary source of transportation. The dirt bike offers fast travel for a single person, but it doesn't offer much in terms of protection. Tanks offer plenty of protection, but they are slow, and in a zombie apocalypse, if you move slow, you die. I'd take the SUV. If you get a good one, you could go off road. I said a good one because some are **** off road. Weld bars over the windows and keep the doors locked and you should stay safe.
TLDR: I'm not sure which primary and secondary weapon I would use. The bat would be my melee, the rope my gadget, and the SUV with bars welded over the windows.
I spent way to much time on this.

Has 3 weapons and a vehicle full of sharp objects.
Hangs himself.
User avatar #4 - datpenis (07/17/2012) [-]
I'd pick the Assault Rifle and have the silenced pistol since Zombies would be attracted to sound and light. I'd pick the katana as the melee since i could chop the heads off. id get the flashlight so i could see these 9gag faggots and kill them. my vecicle would be the truck
