I dont accept gays. I never will. Your forcing it down my throat isn't helping. Marriage=1 man+1 woman

Would you be willing to provide me with a logical explanation of your beliefs, sir or madam?

'kay.
Be careful with opinions though, the internet is not a very safe place for opinions.

If they're "forcing it down [your] throat" then you're gay too.

No where in his post does it say he was against it, just that it wasn't helping.

okay, so let me get this straight (ha-ha), if someone is accepting gays its all awesome and you should let him do it because they have the freedom of speech and stuff, but if someone does not then the freedom of speech is suddenly forfeit... aint that something

Well, it's not exactly persecution when someone is prevented from persecuting someone else, is it?

That's just liberals for you. They only care about you if you go along with their agenda.

He's entitled to opinion, no matter how stupid. Marriage with gays is extremely controversial, so you can't just make an assumption of his personality based on his view of the subject.

Technically he is right about the marriage thing. The bible says that being gay is wrong pretty much, so getting a christian wedding is stupid if you're gay.
I don't hate gays but the wanting marriage confuses me, as does marriage in general

Well, you see, not everyone is either Christian or atheist. There's a whole other side, and a whole slew of religions and ways of life that are perfectly accepting of gays and lesbians. "Marriage" isn't strictly adhered to the Christian faith; it's tied to the government. You see, marriage came along WAY before organized religion ever even started to appear. So, since marriage is a CIVIL right and not a RELIGIOUS right, what's wrong with wanting the same civil rights as others?
#322 to #218 - jinkazama (07/18/2012) [-]
Well, couldn't they be married by a priest in one of those other religions without the government? Isn't being married more important in the eyes of god, rather than having a piece of paper that says it?

But i digress, i'm really just talking about christians here because i am uneducated with most other religions as of now.
