I'm not an Apple guru, but I am a programmer and I do own a Mac... Mac OSX is a Unix-like BSD kernel & user-space system. The only "source code" you could simply "delete massive chunks of code" from would be Bash Script, Apple Script, or Config files, all of which-- the important ones at least --are protected by a root password only select Apple Employees would know. (Just try to 'nano /etc/pf.conf' and save for example).

Like I said, I'm not a Guru, so it's possible there are some some editable files in the user-space which could be modified, though I doubt it. It's also possible you know said root password.

Mac does come with a GCC compiler, but none of the internal source code for Mac is distributed (only binaries), and you couldn't simply "delete massive lines of code" from that anyways because you'd never be able to successfully re-compile (you'd get errors all over the place).

In short, I call your bluff. Please though, share a bit more insight into which files you're supposedly editing, I would be happily proven wrong here and eager to learn a potential Mac exploit.

OMG finally someone with some sense. I regret not being able to tell you what files I deleted because it was some time ago. Also, yes there is a root password, but yes it is hackable. Also, macs don't only show in binary.
