Dude, every vehicle in this fucking country is imported in one way or another.

Do the research, although vehicles may me assembled here...the engines, transmissions, drivelines etc. are pretty much all made in or ideas used from China, Japan, Mexico, Canada the UK...etc. This has been going on for ages. Rarely (can you find a completely American idea, material, assembly and finished product.

I'm not from the states. And no shit you can't find a vehicle made in one country only, i'm pretty sure no vehicle is purely from one country only except a complete custom made vehicle (But using your logic even the idea of a transmission would make it non-original). And when someone says import they usually mean a vehicle made outside of the North Americas. IE HONDA, AUDI, V

Well, to say imports are junk shows your ignorance on the subject. Why do people insist on playing favorites and damning everything else. Chevy has its share of worthless products just as Ford, Toyota, Nissan...etc. Everything comes from "import" suppliers. I dare you to find a beat up 85 Chevy truck and an abused Toyota pickup from the same year and compare the two...Imports destroy North American engineering for the most part. Simplicity, handling, power/weight ratio, looks, price...the list goes on, and what do we have to compare to the countless 10/10 quality cars and trucks produced elsewhere...Silverado? Wow, Chevy don't go overboard. Look, every make and model over the years has had ups and downs, just pick the fucking vehicle you like and shut the fuck up.

If chevy is so horrible then why does my 92 Suburban K1500 have almost 400,000 miles on the original engine and trans, does not leak or burn anything, starts on the first crank, and still runs like a bat shot out of hell?

exactly, my 1996 k1500 5.7 has 322,000 on it and it runs just as good as my 2006 charger. Shifts great and has tons of power. I don't know why people think theyre so terrible when they can run for hundreds of thousands of miles without breaking down. Most dependable and long lasting vehicles by far.
