HOMOPHOBIA is a fear of gay people meaning you cannot stand them at all as in you do not allow them to be near you at all. i.e. you are not able to be friends with them. HETEROSEXUALITY simply means you are not attracted to the same sex and therefore does not in any way mean that you are afraid of and cannot befriend gays. I am straight and I have multiple gay friends
