What kind of music do you generally listen to? I have whole lists of bands of all genres that classify as christian. some examples:
Christian-rock: Switchfoot, Anberlin, Decyfer Down, Skillet, Children 18:3, Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch, Write this down, Nine Lashes <-(amazing band).
Hard rock/metalcore: Haste the Day <-(Pic related), Demon Hunter, August Burns Red, RED, The Letter Black, Underoath.
Alternative hip-hop/pop: TobyMac, Manafest, KJ-52, Group One Crew, DC Talk <-(Oldie but goodie)
Theres ton of good christian music out there, these are just some of them. You should check some of these guys out. :)

So its also kind of like how people assume books have deeper meanings when they just give a plain umbrella of an idea? Ah I see. When an American band says something about keeping faith or needing some kind of help from someone...like a hero figure...people widely assume and take for that it's about Christianity. If a buddhist listened to these songs and referenced them to their own life could it be done? Yes I think so, with out actual mention of a name it is completely up to interpretation, perhaps that is better than most Christian music, because this music has a far wider reach...as long as you don't label it as Christian it can effectively touch all forms of people and beliefs. A bit more than what you thought?
despite you making a decent argument, if you see them live, its very obvious. last time i saw them, they stopped their set and preached for a minute or two. they talk about salvation all the time and stuff. their music (like most Christian music) doesnt talk about it directly. if you listen to most Christian metal, its more obvious.
