Surely you should be impressed that a tiny island such as England managed to conquer all that land mass as it is.

As a British person, on July the 4th I feel it is my duty to address all Americans as 'rebel scum', whilst I sip tea and eat jam, cream and scones. I feel this is the best way to celebrate.

Except Britain didn't start off as one of the biggest empires ever, first it was exactly where it is in the second part of the picture minus the Falklands,

And even today it still has 14 constituent nations that acknowledge that Britain is their leader.

As well as the commonwealth of nations that see the British royal family to have some significant link to their own current nation, even if it only is ceremonial.
User avatar #188 to #185 - formidableguy (07/13/2012) [-]
Argentina didn't take the Falklands, they invaded the locals resisted the British task force turned up and ****** them royally. Secondly Bomber and fighter command saved Britain during WW2 not Lend-Lease
#56 - anon (07/12/2012) [+] (1 reply)
you do realise a lot of these are still part of the commonwealth and the queen still is the ceremonial state in Canada and Australia do you ?

you don't need to be from Britain to know that
