Me and my girlfriend (we have been together for several years) are going to get married after graduation with a ring thats been passed down through the family, but we weren't going to have kids for quite some time... Does this make me a cheap ass boyfriend or attention whores?
(Not trying to ruin your point, I fully agree. I'm seriously just wondering)

Then no. You haven't had enough experience yet in your life to make such a huge decision yet and are likely to break up with your girlfriend after you two move in together and discover that life's pretty hard. I strongly recommend you don't go through with marriage because you haven't dealt with real life on your own yet. Also most couples who go to college together tend to break up and realize that going to college just to stay together is actually a very big mistake.

That doesn't mean that it's a good thing to do. The simple truth is that it's highly unlikely that you're going to stay together in college, no matter how close you two are now. College (and what comes after college) is just a very, very different and more independent experience than high school, which leads to you two likely growing apart.
I know what you are saying, and I don't want to sound like a dumb little kid, but you're wrong. I know that's probably how it works with most couples, and I know I sound like a complete idiot right now, but for us to have worked through so much already I'm almost positive it's a for sure thing.
During the ages of 18-24, the male and female mind change drastically of what they desire most in the opposite sex. This is why so many marriages fail within that time period is because they don't want what they wanted 2 years ago.
i'm talking about 14 teen year girls having kids and saying they are married.
Also, seven girls i know, that were in 12th grade or after graduation, had kids.
I hate the dumb girls who don't think and make their life worst then it really needs to be. People who don't plan things out till they get older. Believe me, i know what you mean.... and i'm not pointing the finger at guys.

The thing is, nature used to take care of that. If you were an inept, or negligent parent, your children would not survive, and your genes would not be passed out. This would have eventually (theoretically) weeded out all stupidity and/or laziness in the human race.....but then stuff like welfare came along, where they pay you to have more kids than you an take care of.
