furyr (07/09/2012) [-] Lions ain't colourblind... Zebras are striped because when they're a lot together, they can confuse the Lions...

eefje (07/09/2012) [-] Actually the zebra-camouflag is to break the outline of the animal. They live in herds, and the lines make it harder to see an individual, which confuses the lions who only see one moving mass. It makes it harder for them to single out an individual to attack.
