However zombies are works of fiction and as being eaten alive is a horrible thought and the idea of a disease that reanimates you only isn't. Even one that makes you only bite a little isn't. So it is better to go with the more terrifying.

Considering the unlikelihood of the general populace actually believing in zombies, that alone gets a lot of people bitten, by not running the hell away from anybody shambling around.

Also, if a bite trasmits, then it is likely that so would the zombies' other bodily fluids. Just fighting off a would-be zombie attacker could get its blood, sweat, or saliva in your eyes, mouth, or wounds. Most stories also provide for scratches from zombie's fingernails to transmit the disease.

You're also probably assuming zombies are slow. Most of the things that nerds are guessing could cause zombie outbreaks these days would not impede the mobility of the infected whatsoever.

See, the problem is that we have infections today that are transmitted via bodily fluids. And they are not as obvious as a raging lunatic running towards you with blood all over. People would tend to avoid those people.

Basically you're in a nuclear winter city hiding in a small grocery store protecting your daughter from demons with a rusty pipe...

But the game is made by Square Enix so they could've left that prologue out of the game and it wouldn't have made a difference, because they take your daughter and you get knocked out (if i remember right) then (i think) it turns out to be a dream and you wake up in a idyllic village back in medievalish days where you're the same guy, with the same daughter, but you wear underpants on your head and have a hard time with shirts...

Despite that, it's a great game, very underrated. Flew under the radar, like Valkyria Chronicles did.

Also the soundtrack is totally BAMF.
