The term "rice" or "ricer" (when referring to cars) describes any (usually Japanese) car with modifications done to it that do not help performance and are usually used for show like wings, vinyl kits, body kits, etc. What I see here is a Holden Commodore (Australian) that is in amazing condition that has nothing pointless done to it. How is that rice?

Personally I know two definitions for a ricer car.
One is because the sound they make sounds alot like when you burn rice. i.e. Rice Burner.
The second is because they are usually Asian cars, and Asian countries have eat alot of Rice.
Either way they CAN be fast. Ive seen fast ricers. My coworker has a ricer Acrua that he had running flat 13s at one point.

I left that part out. Asian countries eat and export a lot of rice. They also export these cars. Hence referring to a car like a civic a "ricer"
Now let's not get into detail because I only know this because I used to have a civic, I don't know much else about cars
