smart girl
My friend has 6 looks on
her door. She said her
theory is to only lock 3. That
way, if a thief tries to pick
the locks, he' ll always be
lacking three of them no
matter how he does it.

you have to turn in in the opposite direction to lock it. hence, they will know if any of them are already unlocked

actually shes quite dumb. anyone who can pick past the first 3 locks will know the last 3 are unlocked the minute they get too work because of the way the lock feels when you insert the instrument.
insert the instrument slowly..tenderly

OR, the dumb bitch could just lock all six and make him pick all of them anyway...
It would only make sense if the locks had alternate locking mechanisms: ie: 3 locks lock when turned clockwise, and 3 locks unlock when turned clockwise.
Otherwise he'll be lockpicking and be all, "Oh wait, dumb bitch already has 3 unlocked."
Also, it's not difficult to feel and figure out which way a lock locks. :I

Uhm. What idiot lockpicker turns the locks to the right to unlock them?
My door left-unlock right-lock

Except to lock it, you turn it counter-clockwise, to unlock you turn the lock clockwise.
