Blame pandemic. They were the ones that scrapped up the game then kicked it down. Lucas arts only funds. Blame the developers, not the creators.

You craze man, you craze. Pandemics was left in the dark because LucasArts was too grubby to pay them for their damn good work. They basically left the title up for grabs and various companies tried to take over development but everything fell through because of poor management. BTW, creators and developers are the same thing. The word you're looking for is developer and distributor. In the case of failed games, it is almost always the distributer's fault (LucasArts in this case) because they are the ones who force deadlines, force budgetary limitations, and pander to the greatest common denominator rather than loyal fanbase.

IT's going to be the next Duke Nukem Forever. If it ever gets released it will be an abomination. Pandemic (who made the first two) lost the rights to it and shut down. Free Radical then started work on it and they also shut down. Spark unlimited the picked up work on it and subsequently bailed to make Lost Planet 3. Now the game is dead in the water.

Some footage of one of the botched attempts to make it leaked online and they looked God awful. If it ever does come out it's just going to be something Lucasarts craps out to cash in on the franchise. There's no point in looking forward to it...
