Well some Christians believe that they got saved by the doctors in time because God still wanted them here.
They could have not made it in time, they could have gotten a doctor who messed up, they could have died instantly, or any other circumstance that would place them in a situation of being dead.
I think Christians are thanking God for putting them in a situation where they survive.

God is a higher being than us. If you had absolute power over the world, what would you do with it? If you knew everything, how would you use that power? Can you do a better job than God, and still make it so people need you?
Trying to explain God to people who don't believe in him is like trying to explain color to a person who has been blind from birth. If you don't believe in a higher power, than trying to figure out why people get up on Sunday's to learn about and worship something you don't even believe exists wouldn't make any sense.

I can't help but ask why.
Why would a god do that.
Does he same some kind of confidence issues?
Can't function unless people need him?
Too many questions are left unanswered when your only answer is "Because god is a higher being" there is no explanatory power in that.
It's a non-answer
And yes, if I was omnipotent, I could do a better job than god.
Because if we're talking about the god of the bible, then my moral standards are better than that god, and my universe would be a better place.

Also, would you make a world, just to watch a bunch of people mosey about? We were created to worship God. Maybe you could do a better job, but you don't know that. Everyone who is below thinks they can do a better job than those above, but everything will be perfect in heaven. Earth is just there to decide who deserves to belong, and who doesn't.

Really? So you could be the sole decider of right and wrong. You have the ultimate knowledge of all the evils of man, and you yourself could make things better for everyone. You could spend time and effort creating the world, giving man everything he could ever want, and making things effortless. God did all this in the beginning, but he also gave man free will, and you know what man did with that free will? He used it to do the one thing that he shouldn't have, which is directly sinning against God.
If I could help them all, then yes. I would.
Well I guess I'm just a better being than your god.
I would help even if my "children" didn't love me.
Now that's love.
As for being isolated, of course not. But helping everyone wouldn't make me isolated. Quite the contrary actually.

That's based on what you believe humans are. I believe humans are evil, selfish creatures, who only by being raised to believe something different can change. I believe even if you gave humans everything, they would still want more.
"who only by being raised to believe something different can change"
So do you consider all atheists to be "evil, selfish creatures"?
"I believe even if you gave humans everything, they would still want more. "
Is there something wrong with that?

No. I consider all humans evil selfish creatures. Christians included. Yes, there is something wrong with people still wanting more. Because no matter how much you have there will always be something missing. Maybe it's human nature, maybe it's because that missing thing is God. Maybe you could do it a different way, but that doesn't make it better.

God knows everything that you are going to do, but you are deciding what you are going to do. It isn't determined for you, but it's still destined to happen.
There is a difference for being destined for something, and have that destiny be determined for you.

Not... really. If something is destined to happen, but the way it happens isn't specified, I agree. But if you're going to say that God put the exact right people in the exact right place at the exact right time, knowing in advance what they would do, that's not free will.

Hmm. Do you decide to live or die? Is it just random? It's comforting to think that there is a God at there, and there also isn't any consequences to believing in him, so that's what I believe. I don't know all the answers, I'm a very new Christian. I wish I knew more about things, but I only know the basics. Sorry.
I dunno man.
I don't keep track of it.
And no, I'm not saying they don't.
I'm saying that they're wasting time that could potentially be spent helping people. Instead they sit down and talk to themselves, while getting the satisfaction of thinking they've helped. (Talking about prayer here)

I could rant all day about prayer, and fulfilled things in the lives of people in my church and in my life. But lets say that it's all chance. Is the time praying really worthless compared to spending time on funnyjunk? Perhaps. Do some people like doing one more than the other? Definitely. I seriously doubt that a lot of funnyjunkers go around helping people.
The difference between going on funnyjunk and praying, is that going on funnyjunk you can talk to actual people, listen to their problems and help them.
Praying won't do that, as it's a thing you do alone (or not, but the praying itself isn't gonna help)

I spend indeterminable hours surfing funnyjunk and hardly even laughing. At least I get some sort of comfort from praying, whether manufactured or real. I barely talk to people, and most of my comments are attempts to be funny, and work only half the time.
