1. Most Americans have a hard enough time making a living without the government consistently bombarding people with taxes.
2. People don't hate government, they hate it when government becomes too big and tries to dictate and regulate people's lives
3. Probably the same. Regulating, like regulating the internet with SOPA or the Patriot Act.
4. Most Americans find guns the best form of protection and yet I have never seen law abiding citizens (who do love guns) walk around with them. It's people's property, it's people's right, it gives people the right to protect themselves and their homes. It offers protection if the government is to ever turn on the people. It works in Switzerland.
