Actually racism was one of the best things to happen to the African race because when the slave trade started, European settlers took Africans from Africa and brought them to the united states, that may seem bad at first, but considering that the average life span of an African in that time period was very bad. 3 in 5 children born didn't live to their teens, and of those who did make it didn't get past around age 29. on the next part, please do not get me wrong, the slave life could have been a lot better, but they were fed and given shelter while they were on the plantations. This allowed the average slave to live usually into their sixties and often longer than that. along with a very prosperous family. so the next time that someone calls you racist, tell them that if it weren't for racism, they would not exist along with most of their ancestors and family.
Well, before our 'white race' even set foot on Africa, they already discriminated their own race by killing, raping, etc. There were already lots and lots of conflicts because some black persons just wanted to gain power and controll over everything and everyone. Both from a historic point of view and religious point of view.
Africa actually SOLD slaves to the 'western civilization' to be used for slavery.

I think he's referring to the African Americans who are alive today. If it weren't for racism, their ancestors would have most likely died in Africa, before producing the offspring that eventually worked it's way down the family tree into those who are alive today.
you realize i am black right, also i have a minor in american history and thirdly, this was so rare for slaves to get beat and whipped by their owners that every it did happen, it was made into a big deal and published in a documentary. this only happened about 2000-2500 times, that may seem to be a lot, but considering that well over 4000 tried to escape and were captured, a relatively small amount were actually whipped. so if you think you you know what you are talking about, remember that all of the documents and text books you were taught out of in school are all considered secondary sources, which means that they have been swayed by biased opinion.
