it's funny how people are liking this post, like if there's the slightest possibility that someone on FJ is that old
i'm 20 and i feel like i'm older than the majority, you have to be like 30/40 to be one of the kids this post is talking about

I'm 27 and I played in the woods all the time as a kid. I loved to go exploring. I'd cross rivers, climb and jump off cliffs, climb trees, build tree houses, dig holes as deep as I could, shoot things outside with a BB rifle...etc. We played "manhunt" instead of hide and seek though it was really the same thing.

I'm 15 and I did everything this post says. I don't know about you, but when I was young, I was really active and shit. But now, I'm always watching tv, on my phone, or playing videogames. I haven't done anything productive all summer break, But fuck it, I don't know what happened. But yeah... I actaully did everything in this post(Made my parents read a book to me at night, tag or hide and go seek, hopscotch, race, LEGOS, play with random ass sticks and run around, etc) Well except for that "childhood love". Well I did have "girlfriends", but i don't count them as girlfriends because I was too young to understand that kind of stuff. Wait, why the hell am I telling you this?! Anyway, point is, I was active, and I guess you weren't.

not really..
when i was a kid i only really watched cartoons on weekends
most of the memories from my childhood are of playing outside and reading with my parents and stuff
not watching tv

well of course i went outside everyday and played hide and seek and and all that good stuff, but unfortunately i remember myself playing with my gameboy my playstation 1 and watching tv etc..., more than i remember myself doing that
so i think that this is not the typical childhood of the 90's kids
it's more like the childhood of my older brother who is 37 now

You didn't do any of this when you were a child? I'm nineteen and that post pretty much covered why I loved my childhood.
