It is now. Couple years ago they stopped calling Australia a continent, and threw all the islands in the area in, and started calling it Oceania. The More You Know!

AustralASIA. Not Australia, Australia is a country. Australasia was the combination of New Zealand, Oz, and the islands scattered around us.
