i have no problem with metal...its just not my style of music...very brash and energizing...i like the calmer music that helps relax...but i approve OP
for anyone that wants to know, this quote is from a documentary called : Metal: A Headbangers Journey. It's amazing and I highly recommend watching it!

Metal and its sub-genres could be infinitely more well-received if they abolished the throat roaring and scream vocals. Metal's the only genre with really good instrumentation any more, but I think that quality gets obliterated and overshadowed by awful vocals.

ive realsied that Metal is the new Counter Culture Music. 50s-60s was regular rock, 70s-80s was punk. 90s-95s was grunge and pop-punk. now metal. just my 2 cents

Every genre has those "outsiders". I say I listen to rap but if you listened to the rap I do, you'd say I'm an "outsider" from the rest of the rap fans.
