What if every other lock copies the dwemer locks because they're so advanced?
User avatar #6 to #2 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
What if you are actually a descendant of the dwemor race and have ancestral knowledge about opening the locks. :O
User avatar #27 to #6 - dustyshane (06/29/2012) [-]
Ancestral knowledge? To open a fucking Door/chest?

You're looking way too deep into this.

Also, I read your other comments. All Dwemer would only breed with themselves, They believed themselves supreme, thus no mating.rape of other species, and even attempted to create their own god.

They didn't exactly go extinct, they just, disappeared. No one knows at all, not even the last Dwemer alive, Yagrum Bagarn, where they went.

Also, Nords would not normally mate with elves. There are barly any examples in the Elder Scrolls where there are severe cross race species.

*sighs* All I wanted to do was make a little conspiracy joke...I had no intention of looking deeply in to it. It does not matter how supreme a race thinks they are, like I said below, there could have been that one individual that left. Also, unless the lore specifically states "they never bred with anybody else, not a single one, ever" then it remains possible.

The nord/elf was just an example (in-game book called racial phylegny -spelling, sorry- that used it as an example)

But fine, I give up. I can only back this up with theories and possibilities, there is no proof against or for it. Fuck, this is like a religious debate on whether a god exists or not.

If it was just a joke, fine I guess.
I but guess you're right that it could be possible. But, I very much doubt they would've mated with any other race according to their hatred toward them.

All of the Dwemer had the same opinion about things, which is May be why they all disappeared at the same time, for created a new god. (that is only one of the theories, but it makes the most sense).

I think the only race they would have the opportunity to mate with is the Falmer or Chimer.

And if you din't know Chimer is what Dark Elves Were before Azura turned them into Dunmer. They had Gold Skin and blue/gold eyes.

no, dwemer were a type of elf, but went extinct
User avatar #13 to #10 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
you can be a descendant of something extinct. Extinct just means that certain species is not around anymore. If the dwemor mated with something else, and produced a halfling, this is a new species.
#14 to #13 - irishlawyer (06/29/2012) [-]
but none of the species are, all elves are related to each other by some distant ancestor, but the dwemer are not said ancestor
User avatar #15 to #14 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
I was making a conspiracy theory stating you might be a descendant of a dwemor instead of the locks being based off the dwemor locks, thus making you have ancestral knowledge of how to open them...

Are you even reading this :|

I am not saying anything other than making a conspiracy theory...I have no idea why you thumbed me down for that.
#17 to #15 - irishlawyer (06/29/2012) [-]
1. it would not happen
2. i didn't thumb you down, dunno who did
User avatar #18 to #17 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
I don't see how it wouldn't happen. Nords can mate with elves and produce fertile offspring, so why not dwemor + something else?
#19 to #18 - irishlawyer (06/29/2012) [-]
but the dwemer and snow elves separated their society from the rest of tamriel...
basic elder scrolls lore
User avatar #20 to #19 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
Just because a society separates itself doesn't mean each and every individual did too. Look at orcs, while they are not extreme isolationalists, they do mate with other species (not sure about fertility on that part)
#22 to #20 - irishlawyer (06/29/2012) [-]
no, the dwemer were so different from the other species (besides snow elves) that each one would shun the others
User avatar #23 to #22 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
Well we know the dwemor tortured the snow elves, it is also possible there could have been rape there, so dwemor + snow elf. Let us say the rapist was female and the snow elf being raped was male. This dwemor female got pregnant, had a child. She did not want to be shunned by her society so she goes to the surface world and disposes of the child. She tells people she had complications during birth and lost the child. A hunter happens by, finds the child and raises it as his own. It is highly improbable, but possible. Heck it could have been a higher-class dwemor + lower-class dwemor, and the same thing could have happened.
#24 to #23 - irishlawyer (06/29/2012) [-]
sigh...
tards these days...
User avatar #25 to #24 - xinsai (06/29/2012) [-]
So you refuse to believe at any point that a SINGLE individual would not leave their society, that nobody - not a SINGLE one - didn't want to live in that society? Really? Your logical process is below that of a bible thumper.
