The brain does ignore the nose. Just as a bad smell in a room seems to go away after a while, your brain eventually ignores extraneous senses and information. The gluteus is the biggest, the ones in your eyes are most used because they never really stay still, and the tongue is in fact strongest in proportion to size...The actual strongest[the one that can lift the most weight] depends on what you work out most.

Unless you are paralyzed or bedridden, the glutious it going to be the biggest muscle simply because of evolution. It doesn't matter if you are a bodybuilder, you're not going to get stronger than the gluts because they are so much bigger. I don't know what to tell about the tongue other than you're wrong. Part of the reason your eyes move during REM is to keep them fit no matter what because quick movement of the eyes was and still is essential to life (for the most part).

It's the strongest in relativity to size..meaning if all muscles in the body were the same size, the tongue could lift the most amount of weight.

the tongue has the greatest strength proportionally given how small the muscle is. the muscles in the eye may do the most work, but they are not the strongest muscle (ex: the wings of a fly flap constantly but they are lifting a very light net weight). the cells inside of the tongue are the strongest because there are so few of them and they can generate powerful force. the butt muscle is strong because it is very large.

btw, the reason june 28th is all caps day, is because thats the day billy mays passed away. every year we type in all caps in honor of him.
