"Your generation" has done nothing to music. There has always been a lot of shitty music and some good music. We just don't listen to the bad music from other generations because it died out... because it's bad... 40 years from now some of the best songs of today will still be around, the vast majority will be gone, and some idiot kid will think he's being all grown-up and mature by apologizing for the terrible music of his generation.
