Humans are omnivores by nature; we have incisors and canines for ripping meat, and molars to grind grains and vegetables. We need both sources of food to stay healthy, refusing to eat one source or the other is ridiculous.

And if you're so butthurt about killing animals for food, just buy your meats from free range or organic sources. My philosophy is that a happy cow is a tasty cow.

plants don't have nervous systems, therefore don't feel pain. Also, if you're taking a fruit of the plant, you're not killing it. It will discard of it on its own eventually.

personally I'm a vegetarian, but I don't care what you do, as long as you don't force me into something, I won't either.

i object to the eating of defenseless vegetables, as they cannot fight back or run away. thats why i am a carnivore only

Most of vegetarians are annoying people who said to another what is right to eat. Im vegan, i dont eat meat or eggs or milk because im not agree with that, but that doesn't mean you are wrong just for eat meat...different point of views...simply like that

Even, vegetarians and vegans have discussion about why they are wrong for conssume or not, eggs and milk

Sorry for my bad english : )

My uncle is a vegetarian, he has nothing against the whole 'meat' thing, he just does it for his health :)

I don't really understand the hate here. Most of us vegetarians are not trying to tell other people what to do (haven't me one, really), because this kind of decision is an individual one. So I don't understand why we should be hated for our ethical views.

There's also quite a few myths in this thread. Vegetarianism is not unhealthy, but rather has many health benefits, especially when compared to a modern western diet (you can use Google Scholar for scientific sources on this one). Also, you do understand the difference in eating animals and eating plants, right? Right?

I'm a vegetarian, and I don't eat meat because I don't like how our food industry operates, but everyone has different reasons. I have no issue with eating animals, because almost every other animal eats other animals. I just think that it has a negative impact on the environment which is a little off-putting. A lot of people assume all vegetarians are little shits who just bad mouth people who eat meat, but I would never have a go at someone for choosing to eat meat, regardless of how much shit I get for choosing not to.

I'm a vegetarian, but it's not because i don't want to eat living beings. It's just that crunching flesh between my teeth doesn't feel nice for me and i would never have a go at someone for eating meat.
