I have a better question- does anyone else see the irony of PETA, an organization which is against ownership of pets and kills most of the animals that goes to their shelters rather than adopting them out, telling people to "adopt rather than buy"?

They kill because nobody will take them. More adoptions means less kills. And I don't think they're against pets, just abusive owners. They are hypocritical in a lot of situations, I don't know if this is one though.
