It has nothing to do with Shyamalan... Since when does every reboot of a movie get completely judged by the previous movie's success (or in this case lack thereof)? It's not about the past, I'm just saying I think Whedon would be well suited to respect the fanbase and the original show, and it's not his responsibility--or anyone else's--to clean up Shyamalan's mess.
