No... Fruits are the parts of a plant that hold the seeds.
Vegetables are any other part of the plant.
Nice attempt at sounding like you know what you're talking about, but next time, you should take 4th grade science. Just in case.

I'm not saying that it's not a fruit, I totally agree that it is a fruit.
All i'm saying is that vegetable is not the opposite of fruit like you are saying. You are saying that a vegetable is every part of the plant that is that is not a fruit. If you want to be stubborn and lazy and not use the search bar at the top, to spare 10 seconds to enlighten yourself, then i can't help you. Unless you want me to screen-cap the dictionary for you

First off, you retards need to stop using dictionaries until you learn what the word "colloquialism" means, because all you do is use them to support your argument.
(A colloquialism is an INCORRECT meaning of a word that is used often enough that it can be PERCEIVED as correct)
(An example: Look up "enormity". Enormity means "an evil action", yet the dictionary will say that it colloquially means largeness)
But, since YOU were too stubborn and lazy to look up facts to support YOUR point, here you go: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegetable

"usually"
"In a non-biological sense, the meaning of this word is largely based on culinary and cultural tradition. Therefore, the application of the word is somewhat arbitrary and subjective"
This reiterates my original point which was that the word vegetable is "culinary" and "subjective" and thus has no firm definition.
I read just fine

"In a NON-BIOLOGICAL sense, the meaning of the word is largely based on CULINARY... tradition." (Hint: Biology is objective, the culinary world is subjective)
Now, I'd really love for you to look up the words "objective" and "subjective" and draw up a little compare and contrast diagram for yourself.

yet both wikipedia and the dictionary agree with me while you have found a couple of research papers that have likely fallen to your "colloquialism". From what I've experienced so far of your stubborn nature, i expect you to weak to admit defeat. Also Judging by your arbitrary name calling i think we both know you lost, but you'll never give in.
HAHAHAHA
Yes, Wikipedia and Dictionary.com are both more reliable than:

Nice try, child.

Vegetables include ANY part of a plant that is edible and generally only excludes seeds and most sweet fruit...which is why tomatoes are classified as vegetables when they are technically a fruit...
Tomatoes, Squash, Cucumbers, Peppers, Eggplants, Avocado etc etc are all botanically fruit, but classified as vegetables due to taste, texture and cooking use.

No...
Vegetables are any part of that is inherent to the plant.
Fruits are not inherent to plants. They are detachable from plants, because they are housing for seeds.
Saying that a fruit is a vegetable is like saying that your baby is YOU.
