In fact, no Spartan-II is listed as KIA, only MIA. Even the spartan you know as "Noble Six" is listed as MIA, though confirmed KIA.

As a Halo fan, I'm not looking forward too much to Halo 4. It seems like Microsoft is just going to squeeze that game for money until it costs them more to make it. Bungie no longer owns the project, Microsoft made 313 studios for the purpose of continuing the title. And from what I've read, Halo 4 seems to be hopping of the "fast-paced, shoot-em-up, alien-killing bonanza with a story line along the side" and going for other genres, including a sort of mystery genre for added spice... At first glance, that seems like a great thing, seeing a favorite franchise spread its wings and touch on other subjects... But Halo was great because you just run it, fuck shit up, be a badass and go home after a job well done. It was simple in all the right ways. But then they put out things like ODST, which forced us into some quasi-open-world environment with a sort of moral-choice system, all the while stepping away from being a spartan. Or Halo Wars, where they made an FPS that was just like starcraft-for-dummies with Halo icons instead, comparable to the idea of someone coming out with "Halo Monopoly."
Halo 4 is just another step away from what made Halo 1-3 so great. Maybe it'll turn out good, but I think I'd enjoy it more if I never fell in love with its prequels.

It was technically better, not literally, for its time. Halo 3 was a more fun game than Halo: Reach, and that's hardly opinion.

Lots of good ideas, as I said, but not executed very well.
