manure is one word to translate "Mist" but in germany we use the word "Dünger" instead. But we commonly use "Mist" so say something like shit.

It's not that complicated, manure literally is cow poop, and the rough translation could be taken as cowshit. Arguing over something you both believe you know empirically will get you no where.
