I live in a country of 4 million people and we can't even keep track of the dead to a point where we have 5% of votes on an election come from people that are actually dead but not cataloged (i think that's the term). People killing each other isn't really considered news unless it was really brutal and newsworthy and it's more likely that the breaking news that occupy the front page will be losing a match in the Euro instead of 6 people brutally raped and murdered by a bear biker gang. So it's also about the crime rate and mentality of the population
