The world in movies:
America is attacked by Aliens.
Europe is normally involved in some sort of war.
Russia is evil.
Japan/asia has monsters the size of buildings and lots of squid like monsters.
China have a plan to rule the world
The middle east has only terrorist living in the counties.
Africa are all poor and uncivilised.
South America full of drugs and whores.
And no one gives a fuck about Australia....

Ok, ok, this is just a post but I have to say this because I'm quite mad now. Not because we already knew all of this and it has been posted hunderds of times, but because this is the worse way possible to deliver it. And because all this facts are old and good movies fix them.
Aliens always land in America in Hollywood movies, ofc, you idiot. Aliens land in a place familiar to the reader or the one who will watch the movie. As most of the films in the 80's and 90's were shot strictly in America, alines land there, it's obvious. If a movie is shot in Rusia, aliens will go for Russia, if a movie is shot in the UK, alines will be in the UK. Pretty obvious stuff. + Now with the rise of the "arty" factor we have movies like "District 9" that fight this hoax.
The knock-out thing, again, depens on the movie and the amount of realism wanted. This doesn't happen a lot in modern movies anymore, directors and script-wrights are more concerned with this and there's no reason to complain about this in a good film.
Guns don't have infinite ammo either, I haven't seen a film (non sci-fi) with infinite ammo in a while. See the Bourne series, or any other modern action movie, the guns run out of ammo eventually.
And I could go on with every other fact posted in this stupid post but I'm running out of time. I started writing this to kill time in the first place so... here is my butthurt, fuck this post.
