The sentry turret (the thing you rolled) is an automatic gun built by the engineer. Spies counter the engineer by disguising themselves as someone on his team and placing an electro-sapper on the sentry. The sapper shuts down the turret and if the engineer can't react quickly enough and bash it off and kill the spy it will destroy the turret.
