So I took a government class this past year and I had a Christian teacher. He says even though of his religion, he makes most, if not all, of his life decisions based on the United States Constitution. So it has been a while and my teacher didn't talk much on his thoughts of abortion, but he did use the Constitution to make his decision. So because of it being a while, I do not remember the exact details like specific laws by state, but I do know his general idea. He says at what point does a life become worth saving, which is the big question. So of course the U.S Constitution protects "life, liberty, and property", but is the unborn fetus considered a life? Well, now with these new laws, an abortion must legally be done before a certain time. (Because I don't know the exact law, I'll use a random time) So say the law says after 3 months of being pregnant, the fetus of the mother is now worth saving and is protected by the U.S Constitution, but what is the difference between the fetus on the day of the 3rd month, when it is still legal for abortion, and the day after the third month, when it become illegal? The answer is nothing, and even if doctors can prove there has been a change, each and every fetus grows at a different pace. So constitutionally, there is no way to put a time on a life, whether that is by so many days or by trimester of pregnancy. So right now as the law stands for abortion, my teacher is against abortion, which makes logical sense. And if you're one of those people who don't respect the government to the point of full rebellion, this is totally irrelevant to you

To follow up on that, my teacher also believes that the right to life is more important than the right of free expression.

gif unrelated, just makes me laugh

for me it is not at which point is it life, its the fact that with out an outside force, it WILL be life. And every reason for abortion i could come up with is purely selfish, and i mean every reason out there. I have done a lot of research with abortions and the numbers and reasoning is quite sad. More abortions have happened in the U.S. than the holocaust.

DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY MORE FUCKIN PEOPLE ON THE PLANET THERE WOULD BE?!?!?!?!?! FUCK THAT SHIT!! We're already overpopulated if everyone was equal in opportunities and consumption of resources. Abortion has saved us from bearing a fuck-load of dumb shits.

Over....populated?

OVERPOPULATED?

HARDLY MAN, ONLY 6BILLION PEOPLE IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW, the earth is huge and vast, where a fuck ton more people can live, I drove through a huge barren wasteland nothing in sight for miles and miles, overpopulated my fat ass.

Do you know how many fuckin resources Americans and developed countries use?? Look up Hectares and you'll know... as for the third world and less developed countries they use a miniscule amount of resources compared to us recreational internet users. If third world countries used as many resources as developed countries then the Earth's ecosystem would eventually become imbalanced, obviously.
We cannot use up even 10% of the Earth's resources or we would have to evacuate a shit ton of people, engage population control (second holocaust) or slowly watch the earth die (as seen in the movie 'The Road').

It's not about morality, it's about practicality!!!
I think people should just be more moral about there decisions in sex and have more self control (like the Buddhist monks or some shit) but then again I also wish I was a spider monkey sometimes. If we can't change one thing (dumb people) then we're stuck with the other option (abortion). Abortion can also be used for rape victims who did not want children or those who could not afford to take care of themselves let alone a child.

I totally agree with you, I'm 100% against abortion for the same reasons your are. The point of me saying this ridiculously long post was to show that there are reasons against abortion other than personal beliefs. My teacher takes his personal feelings out of the equation and uses logical sense to make his decisions.

exactly, i am a christian but i don't need to be preachy about how i feel as a person, but rather say even from a natural perspective, killing our children just doesn't make sense, then looking for ways to justify our mistakes lol
