it happens quite a lot more than u think due to the fact that they have to stay still for so long blood dosnt flow properly and some faint the ones who do have to just lie on the floor till the end even if they could get up

I've read in quite a few places they aren't forced to stand still like many tourists would believe having always seen it in the movies, and they also receive British Special Forces training, so they are pretty badass guys. I wouldn't fuck with them. Regardless, I can see them during basic or during parades lock their knees together for too long, and thus passing out.

Actually my dad was one of those guards when he was in the army, and he said you can move as long as its a drill movement (drill=marching for those of you that don't know)

It's mainly because people lock their knees standing there so long. That's how they end up passing out. When I went to basic three years ago I can't count the amount of times someone would lock their knees and pass out.
