I have that and The Weather Girls' hit "It's Raining Men" on my iPod becuase I like them. You'd be surprised how man women will stop and talk to a guy who plays that full blast while driving. Why? Confidence, if you're willing to rock out to a song that some people (like you) consider gay, it proves that you are confident enough in yourself to listen to the music you like and not care what others think.
Have a good day and just be yourself.

While today's music isn't my taste, it's just a matter of opinion. You might hate it and like hair metal and someone who likes today's music might hate hair metal. You also have to remember that the music your parents listened to in the 70's and 80's wasn't liked by their parents. KISS, for example, was disliked by parents because of its loud sound and (at the time) offensive lyrics, it's just another example of the generational gap.

Right you are. I'll have to add that today's mainstream is what is dissapointing, and some artists/musicians still do a great job to fulfil my personal and subjective needs. I'll have to fully agree, some people might like and love Justin Bieber, no need to hate on them.

Exactly, what I don't like about todays mainstream music is that the songs today don't mean as much as they used too. In my opinion there is way to much negativity in today's music. What I mean by that is, lyrically the songs aren't expressing as much emotion and positive feeling as songs of old. There is too much violence, sexism, racism and bigotry in music.
I'm gonna slot right in here.
I agree with you, that when I listen to a song - It should have some sort of meaning to it. (My exception being electronic, as, I listen to this purely for sound - And rather the feeling some of them implicate) What I despise is when lyrics are just plain shallow. I don't mind if they're negative, so long as it still holds meaning.
