How would a plant even eat a frog? It's got bones and stuff... crazy.

Apparently no one actually answered your question, so here ya go. I doesn't eat the skeleton or even exoskeleton in the case of an insect. Its mouth closes tightly to prevent bacteria from getting in, and to keep the digestive juices it releases inside its mouth. The larger the creature the longer the process, but when it has completely dissolved, its mouth opens again revealing just the skeleton or exoskeleton. Which is actually kind of creepier.

So... it's basically like a spider, turns it into juice and eats it. Or a stomach secreting acid to break down food.

What I think is crazy about this is the fact that the frog doesn't go crazy and just break out....I mean, how strong is this plant really to be able to actually hold them in? I know the frog is small...but I've seen a couple of these plants and they are pretty small too....I'll be the first to admit that I don't know jack about this shit....but honestly curious..

Between the teeth you see are actually cilia, which close together to create an airtight seal. So the frog is pretty much deprived of oxygen from the get go, meaning he wouldn't have enough strength to escape. I used to have a flytrap named Rover.

Ok..makes sense...but still...just a little tiny freaking kick!!!! Also in this particular gif it takes a little while for the teeth to close all the way creating the airtight seal, so why not freak out before? Thanks for answering btw...wasn't expecting anything..

No prob. That plant moves at a slow enough speed that something inside it would not sense it moving at first until it's already closed, it's used to catching quick insects such as flies. The plant actually does allow minimal struggle at first, this is how it determines if it is indeed prey inside or just inanimate objects. If it moves it closes all the way and there is no chance of escape. So I guess if it kicked the right spot it could escape, but cilia is pretty strong when closely bristle together so idk. They usually don't eat frogs.

Just so you know (I love meat) a lot of vegetarians will say that it they are meant for tearing fruits like apples and corn on the cob and stuff. They will point out how dull the canines really are, and how small compared to big cats.

Haha, don't get me wrong, I love meat. I'm just playing devils advocate. Also, people are capable of living just on veggies, but a lot of people don't know how to do it...some have magnesium and protein.

I can't tell you the name, but on the Graham Norton show (my girlfriend was watching it) I saw a plant where when a bug touches it's feelers, it becomes stuck in a glue-like substance, then all the other limbs of the plant wrap around it.
