I live in Chicago. My grandfather was a Chicago policeman for 32 years and then worked behind a desk. Some little chimp would threaten a cop with a weapon and would be shot. Then the whole neighborhood is bitching and moaning because they shot the "po boy" who "din do nuffins"

I think you're too naive to believe this actually happens but it does. Maybe not to this degree but it does happen. While I have seen times where the cop does pull excessive force, there are more times where it is simple ignorance on the criminal's part.
